On Behalf of | Jun 7, 2023 | Motor Vehicle Accidents

Sometimes it might be difficult to predict how some drivers might react when anger or frustration sets in. Road rage is an issue that continues to affect the lives of many individuals and those who cross paths with an angry driver might not always find it possible to avoid a hazardous situation. Reports indicate that road rage is suspected as a contributing factor in a recent car accident in Colorado that killed two individuals and left another with severe injuries.

Investigation into recent crash

Authorities reportedly responded to the scene of a multiple-vehicle collision that occurred at around 5 p.m. on a recent Friday. They suspect that it began when the driver of a car and the driver of a pickup truck became involved in some form of altercation. The pickup truck reportedly proceeded to crash into the side of the car, causing the car to spin out and veer into oncoming lanes of traffic.

Reports indicate that a third vehicle proceeded to crash into the car soon thereafter. Authorities have advised that both occupants of the car were pronounced dead at the site of the collision. The driver of the third vehicle was transported to a hospital with severe injuries. While the driver of the truck fled the scene, authorities advised that this person was eventually located and taken into custody.

Collisions involving angry drivers

Those who succumb to anger while driving could take actions that may otherwise seem unthinkable and a car accident involving the presence of road rage can have cataclysmic results. Those who suffer severe injuries or lose someone close due to such negligent behavior might consider retaining the services of an attorney for assistance in exploring all their available options for legal recourse. Such advice could play an integral role in helping a person in Colorado better prepare to pursue the full amount of restitution to which he or she is entitled to receive through the appropriate paths.
