2019 – Minella et al v. City of Northglenn
2019 – Minella et al v. City of Northglenn – $8,750,000 – In 2017, Northglenn police officers approached a Honda Civic parked in a driveway where Patscheck and Minella were sleeping. The officers fired multiple shots into the car. Patscheck was killed and Minella was left paralyzed from the neck down. We along with co-counsel sued the city of Northglenn and forced them to pay a $8.75 million settlement – the largest in Colorado history for an officer-involved shooting case.

2021 Whitney et al. v. American Family et al.
Verdict, ultimately obtained
2021 Whitney et al. v. American Family et al. – Verdict, ultimately obtained over – $500,000.00 Whitney was severely injured in a crash when he hit a semi-truck tire on Interstate 80 in Iowa. Whitney filed claims for uninsured motorist (UM) benefits with both American Family (the car’s insurer) and his own insurer, both companies denied his claim. Mr. Whitney litigated and ultimately took the case to trial. A jury found in his favor. Whitney then pursued a bad faith claims against American Family and settled.

2022 Harris v. State Farm – Settled $600,000.00 – A woman was hit in a head-on collision. State Farm, her own insurance company refused to make reasonable offers to her previous attorney. He asked Danielle Beem to join the case and we were able to get it settled for $600,000

2023 – Feldman v. City of Denver
2023 – Feldman v. City of Denver – $2,300.000.00 – On May 30, 2020, Denver Police Officers riding on a police vehicle during George Floyd protests, shot Feldmann in the left eye with a pepper ball after Feldmann raised his hands and said, “We’re all Americans.” Despite clear video evidence showing Feldmann posed no threat, Denver police denied responsibility, with none of the officers on the vehicle willing to identify which officer was the shooter. We along with co-counsel sued the City of Denver and the involved officers for excessive force, violation of his constitutional rights, and failure to intervene, and damages related to their shooting out Mr. Feldmann’s eye. We were able to settle the case for $2,300,000.00.

2023 – Agwu et al V. City of Denver – $1,438,500 – We represented 35 plaintiffs who were protesting in the George Floyd Protests in Dever. They were subjected to chemicals, smoke, and pepper balls while exercising their 1st Amendment rights. With our co-counsel we filed a lawsuit against the City of Denver and the Denver Police Department to hold them accountable for violating our clients’ rights. The case was settled mere weeks before trial for $1,438,500.

We were ready for trial when State Farm finally caved and settled for $35,000.
