Unfortunately, it is not always possible to get out of the path of a wrong-way driver, and a head-on collision could occur. This type of car accident often has tragic outcomes, and those who are lucky enough to survive may still suffer serious injuries that they must contend with for some time.

It was recently reported that an accident in Colorado had fatal results and caused other serious injuries. Details regarding the incident included the following:

The incident resulted in the wrong-way driver, a 51-year-old man, suffering fatal injuries. The driver of the sideswiped vehicle did not suffer any injuries, and the driver of the third vehicle was transported from the scene for serious injuries. The investigation into the incident was still underway at the time of the report, and additional information may be released at a later time.

Though the driver considered at fault for this Colorado car accident suffered fatal injuries, the surviving injured individual may still have options for seeking compensation. Filing a personal injury claim against the deceased driver’s estate may allow the surviving victim to pursue monetary restitution for pain and suffering, medical bills, lost wages and other applicable damages.
