Most drivers act responsibly behind the wheel in order to arrive at their destinations safely. Although the report did not offer a lot of detail regarding the accident, it did state the crash happened on US 285 near County Road. The accident occurred at the 225-mile marker and caused officials to close the road for several hours. Officials also believe the driver who caused the accident was driving recklessly.
The driver caused a head-on accident with another vehicle heading in the opposite direction. Authorities confirmed two occupants in the alleged at-fault vehicle died at the scene, presumably including the driver. Two other occupants of the vehicle hit were taken to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Their conditions were not reported.
