Single-vehicle Car Accident Leads to Injuries

Impaired driving puts everyone on the roadway at risk. Some individuals may get into a vehicle with someone who is impaired and not know that the driver has been drinking or has used drugs. Perhaps the driver assured the passenger that he or she was perfectly fine to drive. Unfortunately, a car accident later may prove otherwise.

It was recently reported that two individuals suffered injuries in a crash in Colorado. According to reports, there was only one vehicle involved in the incident. The driver and one passenger were apparently the only ones in the vehicle at the time. Authorities believed that the driver hit a utility box before losing control. The vehicle then overturned and came to a stop off the road in a residential yard.

The investigation at the time of the report had so far uncovered the following information:

The driver of this vehicle had a responsibility to drive safely, which she apparently did not take seriously. As a result, the passenger who was entrusted to this driver’s care suffered injuries in this Colorado car accident. Depending on the severity of those injuries, the passenger may have reason to file a personal injury claim against the driver considered at fault in efforts to seek compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering, and other allowable damages.
